Embracing differences – USPS launches diversity and inclusion website
As part of its efforts to attract and retain high performing diverse talent to improve organizational performance, USPS has launched a Diversity and Inclusion website on LiteBlue.
“Fostering diversity and inclusion is vitally important to the future of the Postal Service,” said Employee Resource Management VP Deborah Giannoni-Jackson. “Taken together, all of us bring a variety of viewpoints and experiences to our organization. Tapping everyone’s unique qualities can help us drive growth, spur innovation and gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.”
The new site includes information on Postal Service policies in areas such as hiring, workplace harassment, treatment of employees based on sexual orientation, gender identification or gender stereotypes and accommodating employees with disabilities.
Also featured are resources such as links to information on the Postal Service’s executive Diversity Council and USPS observances of multicultural events.
The site provides employees with answers to important questions on diversity and inclusion and practical tools for accessing more information on diversity and career opportunities in USPS.
